Skills: Comfortable with sailing and navigation skills. Inspires confidence in Crew. Good communicator.
Delegation: Selects the Crew. Assigns the tasks that are appropriate to their experience.
Patience: Patient with inexperienced Crew members. Runs the boat with a light touch, while retaining respect and authority.
Involvement: Encourages Crew to get involved in passage planning, navigation, the finer and more advanced aspects of sailing. Always listen to Crew’s opinions.
